Day Visits
Class and school day visits are a key element of school life. They support the curriculum and activities carried out in class to add depth and broaden pupil’s understanding. These visits to places of interest are an excellent way of generating fresh enthusiasm for key topics and take place on a regular basis to a variety of exciting and stimulating destinations, adding to the enjoyment of education. Visitors from charities, theatre groups, and guest speakers also extend our pupils’ experiences. At times, the whole School may be involved in collective initiatives, as was the case in a recent visit to Legoland.
Examples of destinations:
EYFS – Bus and train ride, Paradise Wildlife Park, Sea Life Centre, Lea Valley Park Farm
Pre-Prep – Leeds Castle, Colchester Zoo
Prep – Florence Nightingale Museum, RHS Hyde Hall, Theatre visit, Roald Dahl Museum, Stubbers Adventure Centre, Natural History Museum Tring, Celtic Harmony Camp, Stubbers Adventure Centre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Fairlop Sailing Centre, British Museum
