In Year 3 pupils join the Prep Department of Avon House Preparatory School ready to begin the next stage of their exciting educational journey through Key Stage Two.

Our forward-thinking programme of study is based around the National Curriculum but moves with the changing times and we introduce new ideas and initiatives on a regular basis. We deliver an experience that gives every pupil the chance to explore and reach their true potential and become the independent, resilient, confident and well-rounded young adults who leave us at the end of Year 6, thoroughly equipped for their transition to senior school.
During their time with us, pupils are provided with a wide range of opportunities to showcase their many skills and talents, whether it is through our carefully selected extra-curricular programme, competitions, dramatic productions, musical performance platforms, choirs, on the sports field, in the classroom or through our special themed weeks centered on subjects like art or STEM.
In Years 5 and 6, pupils are invited to take part in our 11+ Exam Preparation programme before school to refine exam techniques and prepare for 11+ and independent school examinations.
