This week (Monday 13th – 19th March) is British Sign Language Week. This is celebrated every year in March to commemorate the first time British Sign Language (BSL) was acknowledged as a language in its own right by the government. The theme of this year’s campaign is “Protecting BSL.” Pupils at Avon House have enjoyed learning about and celebrating BSL for March’s Language of the Month and, this week, Ms Heath kindly delivered some BSL sessions in classes.
