RRS Council has been supporting the ever-popular RSPB Badge Sale over the past few weeks, which marks their third year of running this initiative. Through the sale of these badges, they raised awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife in the UK. This project links to the UNCRC Articles 29 and 24, which highlight the right to an education that includes environmental protection. It has been amazing to see so many of our school community (including our parents!) wearing their badges with pride.
The RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) is an organisation that helps protect birds and their habitats and as a school, we are proud to support their cause. We are pleased to announce that we have raised an incredible £700 for the RSPB!
In addition to the Bird Badge Sale, the RRS Council have also continued their efforts to spread awareness of the UNCRC Rights of the Child throughout the school, helping ensure that all Avon House pupils understand their rights.
