From a marmalade covered school, a raffle with exciting prizes and a pupil-led whole school Paddington history presentation, to watching Paddington films in the hall and at Odeon South Woodford. A Peruvian style lunch, a marmalade hunt, meeting Paddington himself on the Green and an inspiring Question and Answer session with a Paddington screenwriter, it’s safe to say Avon House had an un-bear-ievable brilliant Paddington Day last week! Our school governors were keen to join the fun as were all the mini Paddingtons in the playground at breaktime.
Avon House were pleased to welcome visitors from nearby local state schools to attend the Q and A session, in partnership with ISC, the Independent Schools Partnership. Paddington also went visiting local nurseries around Avon House, to say hello to young fans of Michael Bond’s famous bear. The raffle total was a hat-raising £600 for Unicef. We hope everyone enjoyed their Tiptree marmalade over the weekend!
