The Prep School held our Inter-House Swimming Gala at Loughton Leisure Centre on Thursday 28th June. Whilst participation was mandatory our less able swimmers swam shorter distances, sometimes in the shallow end. Races were mixed gender and whilst only some races yielded medals, all races (and flotation events) contributed to the House totals. There were strong individual performances notably from Kai, Kyran and Kaelan who collectively won seven individual gold medals, redefining Claire’s Accessories! Seren in Year 4 won three events and Arvin, Head Boy and Swimming Captain signed off in style with two golds and a silver.
After all events were tallied up, Cavell underlined their dominance not just on land but in the pool, by backing up retaining the Sports Day cup but winning the gala again too!
