Year 5 had the chance to demonstrate how ‘wheelie good’ their cycling skills are as they took part in our Bikeability course, a cycling training programme on Thursday. Gaining new knowledge and practical skills on how to ‘handle’, repair and look after their bikes, how to be safe and be seen when in the community and become more confident riders under the experience guidance of a programme trainer. Cycling is an excellent form of exercise that sharpens visual motor skills, helps with spatial reasoning, builds strong muscles and bones and is fun for all ages! A group of pupils declared together that they weren’t too  ‘tyre-ed’ to carry on after lunch, “It was so much fun! We can now ride our bikes with one hand and also ride looking behind us!”
