It’s the turn of Churchill House to lead the end of term fundraiser and this year, Churchill has chosen the Dream Factory charity. This morning, we had 2 visitors from the Dream Factory who came into school to talk to the children about their charity and the work that they do. Dream Factory makes the wishes of children with life limiting conditions and those with severe disabilities realise their dreams and last wishes. Their slogan is “Brightening lives, Encouraging hope.” Avril Mills set up the charity in 2008 in memory of her son Oliver, who died at 9 years old from leukaemia. Next Friday, on the last day of term, Churchill House will be hosting a Cinematic Experience event in school as their end of term fundraiser with pupils adding a little purple to their school uniform and watching a seasonal film with popcorn in the afternoon.
