Following our Inter House Cross Country event, the children who finished 1st and 2nd went on to participate in the Fairlop Waters Cross Country event which took place on Thursday 6th October. In what was a beautifully sunny autumn day, our Prep pupils produced outstanding performances in each event. All children also improved upon their personal best times for the distance of their race. Stand-out performances came from William, who was placed 2nd and won a silver medal, and Oscar, Zakariah and Nique, who all placed in the Top 10 of their respected races. Each race consisted of at least 90 pupils. The Y3/Y4 team also achieved 3rd place overall, which was a superb effort.
Well done to all of the pupils that took part on the day, and to Oscar and Zakariah who have qualified to represent Redbridge in the London Youth Games Cross Country event at Parliament Hill with their superb times. Eva has also qualified for the event via her running club. We wish these children the best of luck for this event and would like to thank the parents that were able to attend and cheer on the children.
