‘Let’s Go Ava, Let’s Go!’ was the chant that followed Ava through the arena during her bout at the Commonwealth Karate Championships 2022 (which had been postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic). Ava is now the Commonwealth Gold Medallist Champion for 10-11 years olds. She fought through all her four rounds to reach the final with determination and perseverance. Ava will defend her title at the Commonwealth Championships in 2024 in Dhaka. Well done Ava!
